Raksha Bandhan has always been a special day for me and my sister Janu. This year, we decided to make it even more memorable by trying something different - making our own ice cream at Cream stone in Hyderabad. Here's a peek into our delightful and delicious experience.
The Festive Spirit
As we stepped into Cream stone, the festive spirit was palpable. The outlet was adorned with colorful Rakhi decorations, and the aroma of fresh ingredients filled the air. Janu and I were greeted warmly by the staff, who seemed just as excited as we were about our ice cream-making adventure.Choosing Our Flavors
The first step was selecting our base flavors. Creamstone offers a variety of options, and it was hard to choose! After much deliberation, I opted for classic vanilla, while Janu chose rich chocolate. The staff guided us through the process, explaining how each flavor was crafted from the finest ingredients.
The Mix-In Madness
Next came the fun part – choosing our mix-ins. The array of choices was overwhelming but in the best way possible. From fresh fruits and nuts to candies and cookies, the possibilities were endless. I decided to go with a combination of fresh strawberries, almonds, and brownie chunks. Janu, being the chocolate lover she is, went for chocolate chips, hazelnuts, and caramel sauce.
The Ice Cream Creation
With our flavors and mix-ins selected, it was time to make our ice cream. The staff at Creamstone demonstrated how to use the cold stone slab to blend the ingredients. We watched in awe as they skillfully mixed and folded the ice cream, ensuring every bite would be packed with our chosen delights.
Then, it was our turn. Janu and I donned our aprons and gloves, ready to create our masterpieces. It was a bit challenging at first, but with the guidance of the friendly staff, we soon got the hang of it. There was a lot of laughter and some accidental spills, but that only added to the fun.
The Final Touch
Once our ice creams were perfectly mixed, it was time for the final touch – the toppings. I added a drizzle of chocolate syrup and a sprinkle of rainbow sprinkles to mine. Janu topped hers with a generous amount of whipped cream and a cherry on top. The end result was not just delicious but visually appealing too.
Enjoying Our Creations
The moment of truth had arrived. We took our first bites, and it was pure bliss. The creamy texture, the burst of flavors, and the crunch of the mix-ins made it a truly delightful experience. Sharing this moment with Janu made it even more special. We chatted, laughed, and reminisced about past Raksha Bandhan celebrations, all while savoring our custom-made ice creams.
